Information About Us

We are a non-profit, civic and social organization dedicated to the needs of those people who are new to the area or those who are interested in becoming acquainted with other neighbors who have similar interests. Our members include both newcomers to the West Chester area and women who have lived here for years. We are a group that believes new friendships can help the transition to a new home and area much easier. We meet for luncheons the third Thursday of every month, and in April, we meet at night to include those who work during the day and cannot attend daytime luncheons. At the monthly luncheons, we plan a program based on interests and ideas communicated to us through our members. Morning and evening coffees are held throughout the year to offer additional opportunities to gather and meet current members and prospective members new to our area. This is an excellent time to start new friendships and become acquainted with the club activities and events planned throughout the year. The best occasion to get to know others is through our special interest groups. We have over thirty groups that meet once or twice a month or even on a weekly basis to share in a common interest or activity. Most of our members agree these groups provide the best chance to get to know a small group of women with similar interests, and so many of us become involved in several groups! Club socials are planned throughout the year on weekend nights to provide an opportunity for spouses to be included in our social gatherings. Singles are always welcomed to join us in any of our socials or special interest groups.
